The screenshot is nothing special but the Realair Spitfire is a "mean machine" and the shot shows just how real it gets.
I pinched the registration off a NZ Warbird. Apologies!
Richard
Not a bad shot at all but a small tip - when you save your image as a JPEG, make sure you use a higher image quality setting. At lower settings JPEGs start to bleed and you can see evidence of this around the edges of the aircraft and particularly the 'W' and letters where it is quite pixelated.

Many thanks, I will take the hint on board.

The file size suggests that this was in fact saved at a high setting (I get the same size at 90% quality, which is higher than I'd normally save for the web). It would be interesting to know how you made this image, Richard.
(I've been thinking about an image using this very aircraft, so I'm glad you've established it as a 'mean machine'.)Last edited by toprob on Fri Nov 09, 2007 7:36 pm, edited 1 time in total.

This screenshot was taken using Fraps with the JPG setting ticked. The shot was resized from 800X600 to 884X771 - marginal increase. I understand the bleeding effect using the JPG format but I'm not sure how I should go about using a higher image quality setting.
Richard.

Ah, that'd make sense -- I think that the resizing has just made the JPEG artefacts more noticeable. Maybe a resize isn't really required -- when you win, Trolly can just add a logo to one side to fill in the space...
