NZ Civil Aviation Site

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

I have found this site - it has some interesting stuff on it - particularly in regards to airliner and biz jet movements in and out of NZ. Looks to be right up to date. For example I didn't know there was a Citation Mustang based here - neat little jet.

Edit: Actually there is plenty of military movements noted on it as well. Also see that Air NZ is getting two s/h 737s next year to take their fleet to 16.

Great find Paul, I've bookmarked that one straight away! I've added the link to the pinned Latest NZ Aviation News thread.

When the page first loaded, I swear the reg on the Citation in the banner was NZFF tongue.gif

Thanks Naki; great find.

Interesting to see if anyone takes up the idea of VLJ's (and air taxis) in NZ. Free Flight: Inventing the Future of Travel by James Fellows argues VLJ's will be the way forward into the C21st. Here's hoping.

Plane spotters' paradise - Trolly you should contribute some pics there.
Rego looked like N5FF (Close though, maybe there's a subliminal flash before)
Great snippets:
Pilatus Porter ZK-JMP returned to NZ today, arriving at Kerikeri from Norfolk Island.
Whew glad I didn't go all the way to Mercer to get that photo then!

Yea VLJs - I am following this with great interest - orders for them are exploding in the US and Europe - don't know of any Eclpice 500s on their way here but I understand there is another Citation Mustang on the way to take the local population to two.

JMP gets around a bit as I saw it in Hamilton - I guess that is not far from Mercer though.

As noted on the original MRC site, a new NZ Cival Aircraft blog has just opened up: http://www.nzcivair.blogspot.com/
