Need help with Nelson Scenery

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby neuman5022 » Thu Nov 22, 2007 8:10 pm

Hello folks

I am very happy to join this forum - and I am sure it will be very helpful.

I have Ian Warren's amazing NZNS scenery for fs2004, (NZNS_04.zip) but I have the old file with the runway markings error. sad.gif

Can anybody send me or let me know where I can get an updated/fixed file for this scenery ?

I am using this scenery a lot since I live in Nelson.

Many thanks

I have the scenery and love it too but don't know of an error - maybe I have it!
Perhaps a screenshot?

Hi Charl

Can you please check your file and see if the runway markings are correct with the aircraft heading ? on my version it is upside down I.E the aircraft faces heading 200 and the runway white mark is 2 (for 020 heading)

if it is correct , could you Please send it to me since this is what I am looking for ?

Cheers

Have you managed to get the correct scenery with correct runway numbers yet? I'm browsing my addon discs and have come across the correct version if you still need it.

See Isaac, I told you patience is a virtue!
(Actually I said nothing of the sort...)
Can one split off the corrected bit, (assume it's just a .bgl file) and possibly upload it here?
Since Isaac's post this has bugged me too, although it never did before, and it would be nice to get it right.

If Ian knew the right file I could definately do that. Unfortunately I know nothing about scenery design.
I've sent you the whole file via email Isaac. On it's way now as a zip file.

Hi all,

I too have been searching the web looking for the patch for Nelson's runway numbering. Was there a resolution to this? Could the proper file be posted here?

Cheers,

Bryn

IS it as easy as changing the AFCAD runway number's around?

Daniel,

Unfortunately it isn't. The AFCAD numbering is correct, but the displayed number is wrong. Therefore, I think there is another file above the AFCAD that's causing the probs. I suspect either NZNS.bgl or NZNS_A16N.bgl - my powers of deduction aren't as grand as they seem, they're the only two files in the scenery directory (other than the AFCAD).

Cheers,

Bryn.

One way to do this would be to remove the afcad and build another NEW one with a afcad program , or you can use a afcad program to change the numbers around yourselfs. "to easy"
you will have fun learning a simple tool with a big effect to the airport area ..
