Thanks very much for your efforts in this Lawrie.
Unfortunately I am a bit limited with my data cap at the moment but I did do the following:
I downloaded the Abacus EZ- Library and EZ Large hangers SS and EZ Terminals SS.
I moved the textures files out of the Norfolk add on scenery file to a temp file on the desktop
Removed from the Norfolk scenery file:
ez-large hangers ss.bgl
ez-large hangers ss.txt
ez-terminals ss.bgl
ez-terminals ss.bgl

I ensured that the above were in the static objects file within the add on scenery folder as well as the Viva bmps.

I would have thought that this would at least have put texture on the terminal building. Should this have been the case?

I am a bit reluctant at this stage to do too much with the EZ library as the duplication of textures with VOZ (which also uses some EZ textures) might screw that up.

Seems to have me stumped this one.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks Lawrie, it works fine for me now smile.gif

That's exactly what I did, but I downloaded all of the necessary files, and that fixed the problem.

Eureka. I also had to remove another duplicate texture from another file but it is all working well now. I managed to find all the files except Lens EZ Walls and Fences by Len Hickman. I searched under both descriptions but came up empty.
Great looking scenery. Thanks for your efforts in resolving this Lawrie.

I have found one other texture that could be cause a double up problem for SOME people. Its in my Chatham Islands Scenery NZCI.
There is only one building in the scenery that is not Runway-12, and thats the small terminal there. It uses a Nova Gold Texture (NovaGold017.bmp). Just DELETE the "Texture" folder from the scenery if you already have Nova Gold Textures installed on your machine, either separately, or in Library of objects for EZ Scenery V1 , by John B Loney Jnr.

I have been corresponding via e-mail with a number of people that were having texture problems that really stumped me,....................... until they told me they were using the sceneries in FSX !!
Sorry boys and girls,.the sceneries were made for FS9,...... NOT ...FSX !!
A lot of the stuff shows up fine in FSX, but some objects will just show up as BLACK untextured objects, and some buildings WONT show at all in FSX.
Also, the taxiway and apron polygons wont show in FSX as well, so if you are running FSX, sorry guys, only done for FS9.

Next sceneries to come off the blocks will be NZWR Whangarei, NZDA Dargaville, and NZKO Kaikohe.
These will go with the already done NZKT Kaitaia and NZKK Kerikeri, to complete the set of Far North Airports for New Zealand.

Surely it can't be that difficult to use textures that work for both?

Don't understand why you should have a problem with taxiways and aprons? unsure.gif

From pics that i have seen of the sceneries in FSX, the Aprons and Taxiways drawn in AFCAD 2.21 in FS9, dont show, only the default FSX ones show. I dont make for both FS9 and FSX, as i have ditched FSX, and made FS9 my sim of choice.
Robin Corn went into a fairly good explanation of why a lot of FS9 type textures wont show in FSX some time ago somewhere either here , or on his own site, ... i cant remember where i read it. It applied t a lot of the textures used in his RealNZ sceneries that were made for FS9, and why certain types of textures wont show in FSX, hence the FSX patches for Wellington, Tauranga, and Rotorua.
He would be the best man to ask about the details of why.........................
