Looking slick Ian- saw the repaint on the front page of Avsim yesterday too ;)

Did the DC10's really used to fly into Welly back in the day? I can't imagne anything bigger than a 767 getting in there (although I knew Qantas used to fit their 747SP's down there at one time)

Very nice Ian :) Bonnie Bell Windsor does good work too. I wrote to her and asked her to do the Pac Blue Overland 738, and she was great, painted it up within a week :)

I am sorry guys but this paint is wrong, dont know eather its the colours or the shape/thickness of the lines, a year ago I did a paint for the aerosoft deek 10 and though it was rough in execution it's more accurate

dont mean to rain on anyones parade but I think this classic kiwi bird deserves the best and this paint aint it....

btw Trolly yes the Deek 10 did land at Welly I remember her well

Dan , yes paint is a little out .. but since i was to do paint many months back , was happy with first result , the torquoise colour is to dark as with the midnight blue , line thickness is pretty much smack on as with the correct dim of the nose radome , need brighter gold bray and WAS a polished alloy fuselage , as with engine nacelle , I have prob just on 100 photo s from the period which put font near smack on but miss some door details , 1973-75 era ..slight change in 76 to final use .
