they wont take the Embraer im pretty sure- too much runway!

That statement is completely wrong, think about the locations that Mt Cook operate into, all of those places can take 737!!

Fair enough- Guess the aircraft would be excellent on runs such as NZWN-NZCH and NZWN/CH-NZQN etc

By the way the Q400X (& ATR-72-600) has not been launched yet[/quote]
That's why I couldn't find them after searching on Airliners.net!

I've always thought Mount Cook would have operated to Mount Cook airport- guess the village doesn't have enough passengers to fill an ATR!

Air National has a 737? Presumably this is Airworks 737-200QC?

I think you may find they wre discussing replacing them with Q200s or Q300s - never heard any talk about Q400s - the King Air 200s are more than likely to be replaced by King Air 350s with fancy Colins Proline Avionics - and they won't be leased - see my post here about the replacement tender

Nah I don't post on Prune much, I'd end up lookin like an idiot like him probably, cos I don't really know enough about flying to comment. People can be hilariously mean on PPrune though, I just don't wanna be on the recieving end, so I keep my mouth shut.

That said, a lot of the people on Pprune DO have more experience in the industry than people on NZFF, so their comments CAN BE more creditable, cos at the end of the day they are pilots, LAMEs etc and a lot of NZFFers aren't.

Thats why I don't really make comments about crashes etc on NZFF when other people dive straight in base on what theyve seen on Air Crash invesigation docos or whatever (not everyone on here, there are people with lotsa experience here too). Cos at the end of the day what do I know, I'm not even a Private pilot!

Hope that made sense, what was the topic again?? :o !
