After driving out to Woody and seeing the Whitehawks all lined up in their pen I thought it about time I did a repaint I've been planning for a while.
The story is, a group of enthusiasts got together and (with some pretty hardcore corporate sponsorship) managed to convince Sir Helen and the US State Department to part with one of the two seat Skyhawks, namely NZ6255, and restored her to fly. The aim: to operate her for air shows and adventure flights, based out of Woodbourne.
This series of screenshots depict her historic first flight in private hands, as ZK-KHU, consisting of a short flight into the Maxwell Sector, a flyby and two circuits. The A2A shots were taken on a flight later in the day.
I do plan to have a repaint done of her as a warbird, albeit with sponsor's logos on it.....Warehouse Red anyone?
Enjoy!
