Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Better late than never right? Well I hope the delay in competitions was worth the wait, as this month we are pleased to announce that FlyTampa will be sponsoring our competition! Their brand of stunning payware scenery is already very popular among NZFF, and although they do not currently sell any kiwi airports, the winner of this February's competition will get to choose any one of the following quality overseas addons for their prize:

St. Maarten (TNCM) , Vienna-Schwechat (LOWW) , Seattle-Tacoma (KSEA), Midway (KMDW) , San Francisco (KSFO) , Dubai (OMDB) , San Diego (KSAN) , Miami (KMIA) , or Tampa (KTPA).

Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

Here is our 21st monthly Screenshot Competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high res version saved on your computer as the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert it into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your should suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that what positioning your aircraft and camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from Februarty 3rd 2008 to February 29th 2008, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by pressing the edit button, to the top right of your post. Please don't make new posts saying you have edited your original post as this makes the thread cluttered).

5) At the end of the month, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the 'FlyTampa' prize!

6) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) This month's theme is 'Topdressing', where your screenshot must display a link with aerial agricultural. There are plenty of suitable aircraft available for download for this theme- be creative!

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best man win! :ph43r:

Does the aircraft HAVE to have topdressing equipment installed, or is just a super effect ok?

A effect is ok if you can do one ,,it just has to be like it says

it also says Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

i take this as lighting /effects /maybe alittle bit of grass cloned in / a person edited in for a funny / a collage of shots ,alittle cloud from a real photo etc ,,but the base screen shot from fsx xplane or a sim to do with planes/helicopter /all aircraft ...

No worries, I dunno how to do the editing etc, was gonna use FS9, and I'll probably just borrow the super effect from Deane's Fu24. Cheers for the help!

That was just a Beta release to see if anybody could find anything wrong with it, before he "officially" released it.
Should be out soon I guess.

Sorry it's not as wide as you wish, but it's one of my favourite shots. I have no idea where this is, it's probably a year since it was taken =S

I suspect it isn't thinking about it, there's a few images in the set but I don't know where it is! I'll have to figure it out. Timaru came to mind as I thought I recognised the airport but there's no close mountains =S

Is this thread going to fire up again because of this? njbb1995s shot is again featuring a real world/flight simulator picture blended into one. I think Trolly needs to make a firm decision on this..

Seeing there has been so much speculation over the editing topic, I have decided to cancel this competition thread and open a new one that will run until this time next month.

Sorry to all those who have previously entered, but once you see what the new prize is that we are offering, I don't think you will mind anymore ;)
