A Spitfire In My Backyard

A-HA! I knew that'd get your attention! :P

The Ohakea Open Day is scheduled to fly on March 16. I'm intending to go, and only cancellation will stop me. Well, that or death.

Not only will as much RNZAF hardware as possible be on show, but the RAAF's F-111s and C-17s - and I'm hoping Caribou - will be on show, as will a range of civilian aircraft, and Doug Brooker's new Spitfire TR.9.

Now I don't know who from NZFF is in Palmy, or Wanganui, or even New Plymouth and willing to drive down, but it'd be great to have a meet-up there. And what better an occasion for one?

I'll keep you posted with any further info from the local papers etc, but the above was sourced from the latest issue of NZ AeroNews.
