Fletcher IO-720

first off what a great plane (love the jet one too)
i seem to have a problem with the CSU as i'm only getting max 2000 - 2500 rpm out of it, should be getting 2650
i know the 720 very rarely produced 400hp - but i feel i'm being robbed of some horses - i love working off flat strips at the bottom of the valley

again love the plane, great that you've fixed the fletcher nose wheel shimmy

Not too sure what is causing your problem - I am currently re doing the 400 hp Fletcher to make it compatible with FSX SP2 and Acceleration as well as FS2004 gauges. I hit 2650 at full throttle.
Have you checked the prop lever setting ??

Also look at the aircraft.cfg file. Under the [piston_engine] section it should read

max_rated_rpm=2650.000000
