This is why I see FSX with Acceleration an amazing Sim :)

One Brilliant Aircraft ! ...........add some water and put in an aircraft carrier ......... THAT MOVES

take some fuel out off course ..... weights and all :P only the external fuel

Dozens off landings , can you put a C130 into New Plymouth , oooooO yeah :P

initial landing and testing done full carrier length

to Low approach saved by a moving CVN

opposite , to HI , saved by moving CVN , almost making the C130 into a helicopter ! across deck speed of only 60 knots

landings getting so easy , using only the angled flight deck

Reverse prob , not an issue for room

Brilliant fun , Takeoff off course a Breeze :)

Now I wonder if you put a treadmill on top, whether you could levitate? :D

Great fun Ian, where do you go looking for a free flight carrier in Accelerator?
I've only found the "missions" one by chance...

Goto Simviation and download aicarriers2 once installed in free flight you can add a carrier, 2 carriers, a fleet what ever you need and set them to advance. There is also several carriers in FSX that often travel across the FSX globe. Theres one in Norfolk which departs and travels to another port then turns back. There is another mod for MP which features a stationary carrier (moving carriers don't work in MP)complete with ILS, ATC and other stuff. I have yet to test it but I'll let you all know tommorrow.

Nice effort :)

Quick question about FSX and/or acceleration - is any sort of mid-air refueling possible.

FSX acceleration supports inflight refuelling but it only does it in a wide area you don't need to hook up to a drogue or probe. I'm not sure what sort of code is required to do it either but the F/A-18A in the carrier practice mission can refuel from a 767.

Cheers, I might have to look into it :)

I've always wanted to try mid-air refueling since playing some crappy DOS flight sim back in the very early 90s who's name eludes me.
Anyway, mid-air refueling was almost impossible in that.... I never managed to master it.

If you can make it, then try it from the angle deck to the back of the ship!
