NZ Topo - BAD FPS!

Hey there,

Does anyone else have a problem with the NZ Topo? On a random flight over Auckland my FPS dropped to a miserable 13-15fps. I was stunned! What was going on? I transferred to Sydney and it was smooth as a babies bottom. Now this was a fresh install (SP2) and I only had Red Barons 20m Mesh and Topo installed. So I did the usual investigative work and there was nothing wrong with the mesh. But the Topo... oohh the Topo. I haven't tweaked anything in my FSX.CFG (yet) and I run most settings at high/ultrahigh with unlimited framerate and autogen/scenery set to "Very Dense". With this I was getting 13-15fps over Auckland. With the Topo disabled I get... no joke... 30-35fps. Eh!?!? It doesn't look worse without the Topo, its just different. How can road placement make such an impact on performance?

Auckland city and airports are alittle bit of a frame hit in fsx ,do you have Auckland realnz ? anyway topo and mesh are not a frame hit on my system ,i would look into traffic flow ,ships boats cars ,
another thing have you got the updates for the topo for fsx ??

Thanks creator. Will head over there. I have the FSX update or the topo. Traffic is not the problem. I have to turn off traffic, and autogen to sparse to get decent framerates with topo. Very odd.

I doubt its the Topo- There are known problems with some scenery at Auckland I believe so try disabling any Auckland scenery youve downloaded
