Well I had been thinking about purchasing a new PC over the last few weeks and also upgrading from FS9 to FSX and so today was the day that I did exactly that.

So now Im in the process of getting things sorted sych as Messenger and TeamSpeak and getting FSX and Acceleration installed.

New PC Specs

2.4 GHz Intel® Core 2 Duo processor E4500
500 GB 3G Serial ATA hard drive at 7200RPM
2GB DDR2 Ram
SuperMulti Drive with Lightscribe Technology, Double Layer (8.5GB) 16xDVD+R, 16xDVD-R
Microsoft® Windows® Vista Premium
nVidia GeForce 8400GS 3D PCI-Express Graphics card with 256MB dedicated graphics memory and HDMI
Integrated Intel High Definition Audio, 7.1 Surround Sound Ready
HP Media Center Remote Control
TV Tuner with Personal Video Recorder Functionality

Great... but do yourself a favour after satisfying your FSX urge - install FS9 with one of those addons that used to run like a slideshow, and be amazed and delighted.
FS9 is only now coming into its own...the definitive FSX computer hasn't seen the light of day yet unfortunately.

Your going to like the result here :) both FSX and FS9 , :D , at times so nice to back to what you enjoyed originally , a time of trial and test , X will require tweaking of course , both have the best in each other . I still use FS9 for my other addons

Now just one more thing left to do... take the CPU up to 3.5ghz and watch the frames come rolling in! :D

I agree enjoy FSX but keep your FS9 disks handy you will find you still want to fly in it, my system is now upgraded and I can use things like Vistaliners 737's with my paints as AI with no frame loss issues, now thats some good gaming there >nzflag<
