Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

I'm not dising the 737s (i could never do that) but it is Jet connects 737s because of their age, reliability etc.
The 737 is a great plane but Jet connect are the ones i am not so keen on.
One week i noticed that the QF(Jetconnect) 737 that is surposed to arrive in Rotorua at 1.05pm was cancelled once, twice delayed until after 3pm and i didnt manage to get the other results.
And this is not a freak occurance. If you look at the arrivals boards you will quite often see a QF flight cancelled or delayed a long while. On saturday at Rotorua the 737 didnt come in until 4.30! Over 3 hours delay. I can see QF Jetconnect in NZ for not much longer. They should really upgrade their 737s and also put in the RNP equipment so they can get into ZQN more.
They are always breaking down and being delayed. I am not dising 737s i am not happy on Jet connects operation of the aircraft.

Cheers

I agree with their lateness. Is it all their aircraft or just the -300 series?

I've been on a few airliners and while you can always find something to complain about, they've all pretty much been decent and have their good and bad sides. All except one - American Airlines! Holy schmoly - lunch on a 5 hour flight: a disgusting slab of bread with only melted cheese on it! In flight entertainment on a 9 hour flight = 1 really old movie! The airplanes themselves look like they're from the 70s - outside and inside (nice decor). Worst airline ever!

From rumours, it doesn't get worse than Aeroflot and China Airlines, but I have to yet experience those. Anyway, can't be much worse than American Airlines. Avoid at all cost is all I can say...

Jet Star and Virgin Blue's service is probably worse than the regular airlines (with the exception of AA of course), but hey, you get what you pay for and it's still decent enough for me...

Another thing I didn't mention in my previous post about AA, although funkymonkeynz mentioned it, is the huge rust marks across the wings - granted I realise that the condition of surfaces doesn't necessarily reflect on the safety or mechanical integrity of the aircraft, but for the average member of the flying public I imagine seeing the state that some of their planes are in would not be encouraging at all.

I can dis JetConnect now, coz my wife is now working at the "Evil Empire"™... aka AirNZ ;)

The JetConnect 73's are ancient as hand me downs from QF... they are very unreliable... I'm trying to recall a morning when she did not get a txt message declaring a delay due to maintenance...

I disagree about Malaysian... one of my best flights ever was on MAS... i went and nabbed an empty exit row seat... which just happened to be right by the Inflight Service Director... when they switched the seatbelt sign off, he got up and asked me "can I get you a drink sir?"... I spent the next 10hours drinking bourbon and cokes and never had an empty glass for more than maybe 4 or 5 minutes... as everytime he came by, he would just take the empty and come back with a full one!

Although if I think about it... I've had good an bad experiences on almost every airline I've flown with... QF springs to mind... like the time they changed the 767 on QF189 (SYD to AKL) to a 737! ugh... having said that, i've had some really good flights on QF...

AirNZ... some good, some bad...

I guess the moral of the story is that if you fly often enough, you will experience both ends of the spectrum...

..did you roll off the aircraft at the end of the flight HCP?

My worst flight was probably with Continental from Auckland to Sydney - a few years ago now considering they havent flown that route for a while. One of the best was the reverse with United. As HCP says it depends on the airline staff you strike on the day, time of day, age of a/c etc etc

Nope... that was back in my 'younger' days (ie. mid 20's) when I had the liver of a 50 year old... now that i'm early 30's... and with the liver of George Best... I doubt I could keep up that pace...

Although I still firmly believe that it is the best way to avoid Jetlag... none of this 'no coffee, no alcohol, lots of water' bollocks... get a nice buzz going... forget you're in a small aluminium tube with 400 other people... listen to the Spitfire low pass on the warbirds over wanaka video on the IFE with the noise cancelling headset on... arrive feeling refreshed and relaxed...

Lufthansa - delays, poor service and quality, would never fly with them again.

Delta airlines had a flight from KLAX TO KLAS the trip to Vegas was shocking there was a deafing whistle coming from the rear door, that anoyed everone on board, the cabin crew couldn't change a 10 doller bill when serving (selling) drinks and asked passengers for change, trip back was allright untill we landed, the pilot was some sort of boyracer as he took turns on the runway way too fast, cabin crew were losing there balance..all in all a crappy flight (my mate I was travelling with had a cousin who worked for Delta's marketing dept so we got trips all over the states for next to nothing, would rather have walked!!)
