I am going to guess that the product key on the side is for the 'OEM' version of Windows that would have been pre-installed... the keyfinder one is probably finding a 'Volume Licence Key' for the version that the company re-imaged the machine with...
The VLK basically means a company can use the same key on all their machines and they dont have to worry about doing the whole product activation thing... saves having to install each machine individually (you can just use an imaging program like Ghost) and you dont have to activate each one (imagine doing product activation on a couple of hundred machines!!!)

My bro and I upgrade pretty much our entire system last year, we've gone through 3 or 4 hard drives on the same cdkey. Now whenever we reinstall xp it automatically activates. This is on a legit version of xp. Maybe ms have lowered security cos of vista but I don't know. If worst comes to worst as others have said, phone em up.
