Great Plane - NZ Post Metroliner! :)

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby ScottyB » Mon Apr 28, 2008 1:22 pm

Hi guys,

Here is a freeware plane i just dowloaded. Its a NZ Post metroliner. I dowloaded it this morning and since then i have been doing freight runs all around the country! It includes NZ Post truck etc that appears to unload the plane, once the revs get down to 0 rpm. It really is a great aircraft. It aslo includes a 'real' interior which has been taken with a camera. (view pics).

Here are some screenies:

Yeah I really enjoyed that model back in the day- think it was one of my first downloads.

Although it won awards from Flightsim.com, it is quite a dated aircraft now, and BSMP are on the verge of realising a far superior variation:

Same here

In fact...I think I've still got it lying around somewhere; haven't flown it for ages

Nothing wrong with them, you look at em long enough and you start to love em believe me.

I am hopefully going to release the non VC version of my pax model soon so stay tuned, the FDE is being worked on by Nick Pettersen who did the FFS SAAB

The nose wheel steering is a real prick if you're an F/O. It's impossible to keep the cabin cool in summer with passengers on board and you better be paying attention in any crosswind but other than that I quite enjoy my office ;)

And if you're more than 4 feet tall you're screwed :P

I remember this was the first model I downloaded too! In the readme I found the link to flightsim.co.nz, and then on that website saw NZFF! Small world? :D

I down loaded the Metroliner in NZ POST colours it looks great.

One problem I don't have a flight deck. I can't find a 'PANEL' folder in the metroliner aircraft folder.

I can see the GAUGE files in the Gauges folder.

Everything works ok except the "SHIFT+E+2' does not open the Cargo & Baggage doors.

Help appreciated
