Hi guys,

Did a quick flight this evening from Rarotonga to Mauke, thought I'd chuck up some pics.

Vehicle for today is the Digital Aviation Piper Cheyenne - superb aircraft; worth every cent.

At Rarotonga Intl. in the early morning

A nice place to be? :)

Taxiing out; we'll be using runway 26, a slight tailwind won't be a problem

Turning after departure

Coming back, overflying RG VOR/DME

A few shots of open ocean - let's see how I do...

A pretty nice Virtual Cabin; a gimmick for sure... :P

Still going, getting a lot closer though

There should be an island under all that muck

Aha!

The obligatory finals shot

Rolling out...

... and on blocks

There we go, that wasn't too painful now was it? :P :D

Alex

Edit: Please excuse the Swiss repaint; I had done up a quick ZK-RUR (no longer on the register anyway I think), but lost it when re-installing FS9 last

Thanks guys - it is a really awesome aircraft. A friend recommended it to me, and when I eventually got it I was blown away...

Oops I was going to add my 2c worth first - great shots!
And it certainly looks like a very competent model - I judge 'em on whether they have smooth VC windscreen surrounds, these days :D
and that cabin looks pretty smooth from here.

Very nice pics, looks like a great model. You really must do a flight out to Aitutaki and give us some
shots of that, the Island looks cool from the air with its big lagoon. I went there on honeymoon so
of course had to do a few flights there and back in an Air Raro Saab340

In case anyone is wondering, there are AI models and schedules for Air Raro's Saab340 and
Embraer on AVSIM. There's also a Rarotonga airport which looks ok but its not really a very
accurate depiction of the actual layout of the place, better than the standard on tho

I thought it would have been hard to take any interesting screenies on a flight across the middle of the ocean, but you have succeeded with class. Excellent display mate!

By the way, is that FSX or FS2004? I can't tell from the water, but everything else looks like excellent quality!

FS2004 there. ;)

I don't really have a lot of time for simming, so at the moment I'm going with the sim I've got set up - as opposed to the one that I haven't really put a lot of effort into. ;)
