Theres a rumour that all aircraft flying in and out of NZTU at the moment are required to fit snow skis, and carry shovels at all times !! :D

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

i will be thinking of you guys shivvering in the 5-10c range, it is 23c here at the moment with properly about 75-90% humidity, and yet some of the instructers and students are wearing thick coats muttering how cold it is?!

Haha, that's just typical of Australians. When I was over on the gold coast in shorts and a t shirt in the 25 degree heat, I got some really funny looks from everyone in their sweatshirts.

Looks like a bit of a blizzard in Timaru! The rain is off and on here in Kaiapoi at the moment, sort of hoping it does snow, but with the wet ground as it is now it wont be around long.

Hi everyone,
Almost two years on, its snowing in Timaru :D

So start your Flight Simulator, and select "Real World Weather" for Timaru.
It says "Scattered Cloud" which is a little disappointing at first.
Once in the sim, plenty of rain and cloud.
Climb out, at 2,500 ft there it is

Looking pretty filthy down there, have a happy winter!

Stopped snowing here at about 5:30 ish, went outside and 'measured' how deep it was, I'd say it's about 3 inches. Snowman in the morning if it's still there!

Don't think I'll be seeing snow in Northam any time soon.
