Ever since I have had flight sim I've always wanted to do this flight with some decent scenery in my NZ registered Piper or Cessna (following the path of many flights I did with Dad many years ago) Mainly thanks to Lawrie (Snowman) I can! ... also thanks to the guy in the States that painted my Dreamfleet Archer 111, Robin for the photoreal Egmont, RBE 20m mesh and last but not least Mike who assisted with the NP scenery (whoops sounds like an Academy award speech).

Parked up at Hawera - the home of the largest Dairy Factory in the world

Fly by of Hawera Aerodrome

Flying over Eltham - the home of gourmet cheese

Approaching Stratford Aerodrome - Stratford is my old home town - the home of nothing really - although most of the streets are named after Shakespearean characters (Juliet Street, Romeo Street, Hamlet Street etc etc)

A very rare sight - no clouds covering Egmont - and hardly no snow in the middle of winter - must be a stunning Winter!

Ahhh - where the aviation bug bit - but somehow will never be fully overcome until I get my blasted PPL

Taking off

Thats more like it - clouds obscuring Egmont

...and New Plymouth! - a nice little add on

Its FS 9 (with many mods)

The ZK-NEW texture is available at flightsim.com and avsim.com. Pic of the real ZK-NEW - since sold overseas - ZK-NEW is now a Q300

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Hmmm an old post ...From what I remember.....(this was in my last iteration of FS) ...my addons included the Dreamfleet Archer 111 (payware availble at www.dreamfleet2000.com), repaint of the Archer as per Adamski's post, Lawrie's (Snowman's) NZHA, NZSD & NZNP (available at Avsim), RBE 20m mesh and topo (payware available at Simmarket), freeware grass programme (didnt like it and not reinstalled), Godzone Egmont (available at Avsim)..that about it.
