Yep remember the one at Waihi - not sure whre that lives now - maybe in the Waikato as accomodation?

Hey guys, just a quick note to say that I was up there last night and they fired it up again, so Gavin or some other people might put some more images up some time today or this week.

I find it hard to believe, but one of the instructors was telling me that Bristol at Ardmore has something like 10,000 cycles left on the airframe and is one of the best specimens remaining!!

Perhaps they'll frankenstein the bits and pieces and make a working one...

The one from Waihi is now used as novelty accommodation along with an old railway carriage here

It is a Brilliant effort

thankyou Alistair and posting Gavin , One of the few Aircraft built and Powered by the same company - airframe and engine , whiles back had a good friend , stop checking some of the stuff i have here on the type ... i almost wish i had tape the convo , the throttle control is not as simple , I wonder Alistair could post how it works maybe .

never got both engines going together.
We started the starboard engine first as it hadnt been run before, unfortunately the oil pressure came down to low so it was shut down.
A few reasons for this and to much to type here as to why but we will find out what is happening.
The Port engine was started again afterwards.

That's fantastic to see the Freighter running again, I've been following the thread on the Wings Over New Zealand forum, so it's great to see a big goal reached on the road to getting it taxi-able.
