Found this during Geography yesterday- pretty interesting if you set it to 'now' and come back after 15 or so minutes.

Brilliant find, VAC.
And it depends like all things on the view you take.
I showed this to some deeply cynical mates I have, who were hugely entertained by taking side bets on whether the next fatality was going to be a tropical cluster disease, or a poisoning!
Sheesh!
What is Deeply Depressing certainly: following the next link which calculates your longevity, I discover I should get Bloody Old, because I have No Bad Habits.
(Althoiugh Flight Simulation it appears, knocks off a couple of years, being such a sedentary occupation - but far lesss effect than extreme Base Jumping, for example...)

Interesting that the earth produces over 57,000 barrels of oil in 1 minute according to that site, yet they still can't keep the price down laugh.gif
Certainly is an interesting site Tom, thanks!

Nice find Tom, thanks for posting.

The life expectancy calculator on that page is quite interesting also, although not very accurate for me as I had to guess my blood pressure and I haven't even finished high school. It was interesting to see what effect each question it asked had on your 'virtual age' and life expectancy.
Apparently, I'm going to live well above the average age for white men of 74.

The other statistics/world clock page is pretty interesting too.
Alister is right - if we produce that much, how much of it must we be using for the price to remain high. (Think economics - high demand = high price) ohmy.gif

Yesterday I drove from Visalia, up to San Francisco (Oakland to be precise).. so I know where the fuel is going laugh.gif The SFO freeway at 10.30pm on a saturday night was like Auckland rush hour wacko.gif
But to be fair, Americans drove 20 billion LESS miles last year than the year before.. so it's places like China and India creating the demand now. (places with little oil themselves)
