787 Dreamliner power-on

For those that missed it, last Friday was power-on day for the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. They have a nice little flash presentation linked of their home page with lots of short videos of the cockpit and electrical systems. Very corporate of course, but definately worth a watch:

Finally - when will it fly???! Cant be too far away.

Sounds like stress-testing of the static aircraft will go on for a few months yet, with first flight in the fourth-quarter 2008 and deliveries to begin third-quarter 2009.

Yer nice to see the 787 program progresing after the setbacks and delays its been through. clapping.gif
Must be close to flying time.
I've heard that Alice Springs and a few other places in Australia are on the shortlist for flight testing.
