Check this out, not sure when it was filmed or what airforce feature in the clip, but worth a watch: http://my.break.com/content/view.aspx?ContentID=519797

I,m guessing Italy .. never followed aircraft devolpment concerning the little AMX .. its also not the learners that run into trouble , 1982 , a Vulcan snapped the fuel prob during a critical faze , and had to divert to Rio , only to get there safely ... their was not enough fuel in the tanks for an abort !

Dont really get that ,but in one way you see how he pushed it forward breaking the wind force on the piping causing it to start flying around ?? something like pumping gas in you car for 24hours ,in about 3min to thoses planes ,or something like that ,,ive wanted to do refueling in FSX for a long time now but have never got around to it ,the mission sdk can addthe weight and fuel inflight so should be cool to do ..

EDIT:ah should have watched again i see he broke the end of it aswell

would watch it but it has gone, i have seen a video of a jolly green giant helicopter chop the end of his own refuelling probe with his rotors, not a good idea
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

I don't think there is any decent refuelling mods for FSX as far as I've seen the only one is with FSX-acceleration where in the carrier landing practice mission you can inflight refuel with a tanker but there is no hose or basket modeled. All you get is fuel increased no challenge really. Best basket refuelling I've seen in a sim is the SU33 in Flaming cliffs the hose actually flexes and you have to keep it in just the right position. The best overal refuelling is F4AFs probe refuelling for the F-16s where the Ai refuel in sequence and you have to maintain perfect formation to keep hooked up. It also features TACAN broadcast from the tankers(usually on 126Y). AF is also the easiest since the FCS dampens the controls when the probe bay door is opened. notworthy.gif

Yeah i guessed as much but the mission options within the SDK are very easy to work with ,get the right aircraft with a probe and the right gas tanker and you could set it up easy ,ive worked with the mission building tools alot now and adding pay load/fuel is simple ive done this test with deanes flecther and loader i built and it adds payload over and over with out exiting the flight to reload ,so this concept would work the same with the missions no prob ,i havent got anytime on my hands at the moment to prove it but i know it can be fully achievable with in those tools ,and mite give it ago later on after some projects i have aready commited too ..

Would that include a refuelling hose and basket?

If the model that you found like on avsim or some payware then yes , the missions can set up AI in it and its just a point to point thing really ,then you would i guess setup a long trigger box and some other triggers along the way down the flight path of the plane to set fuel and stuff of ,id say a timer trigger aswell and if you did succeed it would restart in flight etc.. but im unsure how i would set it fully up until i tryed it out this would just be the start of the mission type refuel , but you can see if you work with the mission SDK how im guess at the moment it would go along ..

Not a hose and basket...

really just a trigger box... the guys over at ARNZX had a multiplayer mission on friday night that including refueling the F-18... you just had to sit behind the tanker for 30 secs...

I didnt actually play, because I had forgotten to reinstall FSX after I reinstalled windows last week! doh!

Doesn't the Captain Sim C130 include an inflight refueling tanker with hose?

Yeah thats the one and many more i was thinking of ,i mean you dont have to just use default Ac to set up a AI refueler in FSX mission SDK you can use anything ..
