Hi all. Took this using the new high-def clouds from Flight Enviroment X. These textures are sized at 4096x4096. They're not too bad. smile.gif

Nice - you have inspired me to take the Sf-260 out of the hanger and dust it off for a flight

Theyre great! Do they have much of a performance hit to run?

Looking sharp- my PC would keel over and die if the FS clouds were that res laugh.gif

Have you got any other cloud formations examples you could share? I bet some dark thunderstorm clouds would look pretty spectacular on your setup!

More great shots.
Those clouds look awesome man.
Would you mind posting some details of your system in this thread? I'd be interested to know just what it takes to get such realistic clouds.

Those clouds look really nice. How much do they impact your frame rate?

I have my frames locked at 25 and it's smooth with the odd stutter when I'm a bit over indulgent with the autogen. It's a matter of tweaking FS untill you have a balance between performance & visual quality within the capability of your machine. Those clouds looks good no matter what it's running on,even if the res is lowered to say 1024x1024 it will still be quite stunning to see. Here's what I'm running at the moment...

Core 2 Duo @ 3Ghz
8800 Ultra
4 Gigs Ram
Vista 64bit OS
