yeah he could have landed on the grass runway the other day, there was plenty of water on it!!!!!! it is only one of three in Aust. There are two Canberras out on the Cunningham highway, rotting away, such a shame
now i haven't forgotten about the promised interior shot of the DC-4, i am just waiting for the right moment, i.e. next time it is opened up!!!
some news on the DC-4, HARS, the same guys who has restored the constellation, are going to fly the dc-4 out and restore her to full flying status, sad to see the old girl go, but it is where it is going i am pleased about, no scrap heap for her, i was talking to a couple of HARS guys when they looked her over, they all said they will definitely get her flying again, and don't worry i wil be getting lots of pics of her leaving when she doesLast edited by jastheace on Sun Jul 20, 2008 4:31 pm, edited 1 time in total. In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
