New York Memorial Day shots

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Got these, plus a few more, in an email. Great New York shots and a nice mixture of aircraft.

enjoy,
Bazza.

Photoshop??

I think they are. The lighting and perspective look a bit wrong in some of them. Also the scale seems wrong. F-15's are way bigger than P-51's. They still look good though.

Looks pretty real to me ,but who knows these days id give a vote for pretty real if not real as it could come and that p51 looks that part in there if you think of all the angles of the AC in the shots would be pretty hard to fine a p51 at those angles for each of those shots and the same one to match the angles of the other AC ?? i think they are dam good shots until proven otherwise

EDIT:ah see you got the post in before my real or not posting ,so i was right then ,man not all things are photoshopped because they dont look right ..

Here's the last two shots.

I have no idea as to the construction of the shots although the complete email seemed to support them being "real." It was part of a "rah Rah" support the troops sort of thing.

For some reason I really like the last one...?

Nice photos...Y'know, I understand the procession of F-4/F-16/F-15/P-51...but Warthog??
You might as well include a wheelbarrow in the parade.
Maybe local ANG?

And here's some spectacular stuff from the San Fran Airshow, a while back now :

These came with a lengthy technical description from the photographer so I think they are the "real stuff."

Who's idea was it to fly an F18 that low, at speed, with a bunch of yatchs and tall masts close by? Accident waiting to happen if you ask me.

By the looks of it and ive seen these shots before there is a big gap in the middle where they are flying ,cameras are deceiving but this would be the same gap at airshows around the world and when it comes to these guys safety always comes first ...

I just thought the P-51 looked huge compared to the F-15 in some of those shots especially the 5th one. If you look in this photo there seems to be a big difference in size, also, the A-10 also looks as if it's flying a bit off course but maybe that's just the lens. I am not trying to offend anyone or sound smart. I am just skeptical about most things on the internet. Maybe they are real but something is definitely different.

I really like the last shot how you can see the shock wave.

Glad you enjoyed them Dan. I usually think twice before posting this sort of stuff as I feel if I've got them, most of the serious aviation buffs here will also have seen them.

One of the things I like about them is I run MSVDM so I have four desktops and they make great backgrounds for the icons.

Cheers..
