August Screenshot Competition

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

This month Captain Sim are sponsoring our screenshot competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot this month will receive any Captaim Sim payware product they want free-of-charge, these can be viewed at www.captainsim.com ... Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

This is the 27th monthly screenshot competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your shot suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that when positioning your aircraft and choosing camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from August 1st 2008 to August 31st 2008, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission before the closing date if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by using the edit button at the bottom of your post. Please don't post saying you have edited your original entry, as this creates unnecessary clutter).

5) On August 31st, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the Captain Sim prize!

6) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) This month's theme is 'the Royal New Zealand Air Force'- the rest is up to you!

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best screenshot win!

There are some repaints on ARNZx for the default aircraft, granted you won't get any medals for realism, but they'll do the job in a pinch. winkyy.gif

Yes two great prizes in a row.
Nice idea for a theme. I have some ideas already, just have to choose which is best, fly it and shoot it smile.gif

nice shots guys!

now now mike the seasprite is a navy bird right?? RNZN not RNZAF.. but since it is part of 6sqn which is an Air Force sqn then I guess it kind of counts as being part Air Force.. tongue.gif

Yup but its airforce as far as ive ever been told just navy use, so ether way its part of it just lives on a ship and not at a runway ,lol i wondered when that would come up seeing theres navy written on it ,could of done the old huey but thought this was a better idea ,and seeing the shot is way outta the norm ,that is all part of the story line behind it ,kinda to get you thinking about it and how i imagined it while i made it up looking at a big old plasma screen in my living room .. winkyy.gif little more to it than just a rnzaf theme
