In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Yea, I think Tom has it there. Better aircraft shine on the top shot (see: landing light reflection), darker autogen, a darker shot all round (FS9 seems to be a bit washed out), more defined roads.

Similar? There is a lot less autogen in the first shot, which is why I guessed FSX. You'd have to have less autogen etc in FSX to get the same FPS. laugh.gif

nope quite wrong there, i am down about 30fps on fsx. i am running about 38 to 50fps on fs9 where i am getting 8-15 fps on fsx (has dropped recently, i am exploring why this has happened)

Even worse. TBH I actually prefer the softer look of the second shot. Stick with FS9! tongue.gif

funny you mention that, i prefer the look of shot two as well, not sure why, look more realistic in some ways i think my frame rate hit has been caused by the new e-jets from wilco, so i am removing that and will see what happens

hmmm, seems like the wilco e-jets has done something some where, i have removed it but am still having super low frame rates, might have to clean install fsx i think, it is intresting i installed the E-jets into both fsx and fs9, (correct version for each) and i was struggling to get about 10fps in any view with the e-jets, must be something going on there

I like the second on more smile.gif
Looks like FS9 is getting much better results for you, so you should stay with that.

I would say I prefer the second and at first I almost said the second was FSX.
But then I looked with my eyes open and the small differences began to stick out.
The second is my preferred shot.

I agree, the second is better than the first. I thought Iwas leaving fs9, had it uninstalled for 9 days.... Welcome back fs9 to the computer for the umptenth time.
When asked what I have contributed to on this earth my reply will be my daugther
