A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hey do any of you. Use FS repaint to paint your aircraft?

I want to start to learn how to paint so i can repaint some AI planes.
As i need some for flight plans I'm making up.
I have FS paint but i have no idea how to use it. unsure.gif
If anyone could help me out with it that would be great or suggest anything thing else i would be very grateful.

Cheers Dazza.

Pretty much you select the plane right click and create a new scheme and rename it all with new tags then you select that new aircraft scheme and open the textures up and repaint them ,you can make textures or logos up in photoshop or mspaint and copy and paste them in to the texture ,photoshop has to be save as a bmp and then opened in mspaint and then copy and paste paint and mod ..

|MS paint is default with XP and you should at least know the basic tools it uses,, if you find mspaint "Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\paint "then you a face with a window like below scroll over things to understand what they are and you will see

select= to crop around a image
freeform =to mask a poly line around a image
pick colour = pretty self explain but you can pick on a photo colour and then pick a tool like paint bucket =to drop colour in a selected area .or in your case you would be using fsrepaint and you would take a cropped copy of a emblem to stick on the tail by using the select tool /cropping around image part you want and press /ctrl+C "copy" and then clicking into your fsrepaint window and pressing ctrl+V "paste"EDIT in fspaint window you would click up in the file or edit/and select paste into the textures in fsrepaint .. ctrl+Z is undo"detele your last move "

its going to be alittle while before you gain it as a art but it will happen if you stick at it, these are the same tools in fsrepaint as well and if you have a good read of the readme or click on help it will explain a whole heap more
goggle search on tutorial on how to use mspaint even a you tube movie ?

this is a hard one to teach over the net and is trial and error for you but it is a great tool and you will be making fleets in no time
