If you research , you will find many bases , US and others included ... rather fictional .. more the the date of proposal , or it devolpment during the period.

Exactly ... the airfields the were planned and half built during WWII in New Zealand .... research and read and learn the history

Times change. There was once an era when anyone interested in Rail in New Zealand witnessed the same thing. Branch lines getting closed, services being taken away - Northerner, Southerner, Bay Express. Now, the tide has turned and they are re-opening lines as well as expanding the existing rail network.
Like you, I hate seeing bases close but they could still come back. It's only when they re-use the land for something else that the chance of the base coming back truly disappears.

yes i'm using Ian's invercargill but to be honest its a bit old now and the afcad wont allow me to start at the gate. considering this was created for Fs2002Chris Maher
