NZ Seasprite at sea

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Hi,

I have been a member of the forum for some time, but never posted. Alphasim new great SH-2 Seasprite package tempted me into trying to post a few screenshots.

A few screenshots flying the SH-2G (NZ) from HMNZS Te Mana (F111) sailing in the Cook Strait. Well actually it is the aerosoft German F222 frigate which I have painted to be F111. The two ships share some of the same design features.

Greetings from Norway!

Hello Jens and very welcome smile.gif Pleased you posted these here , I was going ask if you can get some with more of the frigate , i guessing the German F222 is a Type122 Class , .. our MEKO200 s are a little less well armed and quite a bit lighter , Its unique to be able to guess the origins of the design as they show similarity,s from different nations even if they are licience built on the other side of the world .

all i can say is WOW, those shots look like somehting one of our other members does in real life, i reckon if you put these shots side by side with a photograph, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference, what is it like performance wise? does the system take much of a hit? welcome to the forums

Very glad you decided to post, Jens!
I agree with Ian, some more ship/Seasprite combo shots would be a treat... perhaps a little stormy weather? rolleyes.gif

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words regarding the screenshots! I'll get a few shots of the ship tomorrow.
The VC takes a few second to load due to the hi res textures, but it run with great fps after the initial loading. On my computer it runs more fluent than most other FSX addons. It works great together with Track ir(Superb view from the cockpit with doors open!). It is also possible to change over to the left co-pilot seat and fly it from there.

I bought my computer last year and it runs FSX allright, but I beleive I can tweak it even more.

The main system specs are:
-XFX nForce 680i SLI, Socket-775, 2xGbLAN,
-Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0GHz 1333Mhz,
-Corsair TWIN2X 6400PRO DDR2 2048MB CL4,
-XFX GeForce 8800Ultra 612M 768MB GDDR3,
-Western Digital Raptor 150GB SATA 10000RPM (specially for FSX)

Ship screenshots to follow soon smile.gif

Here are the pics of the aerosoft German F222 ship painted as HMNZS Te Mana (F111) . As far as I can see so does the two ship share some of the same hull design, but the German frigate has more prominent radar antennas and the Bridge is moved back towards the center of the ship. The great thing with the aerosoft ship is that it can be placed anywhere in FS with the Virtual shipyard program. It makes great fun to take the Seasprite to sea!

I have also made a repaint of the first NZ SH-2G, NZ3601, as it looked in 2000 registrated N352KA (experimental) by the Kaman Aircraft Corp. during weapons testing at Yuma Proving Grounds in the US before delivery to New Zealand.

'WOW great stuff' she said biggrin.gif

Jens thumbup1.gif , the hull would be the same shape , the layout of the superstucture is quite a bit different , so many variations with a modular built warship MEKO 150 - 360 class
