Well the specs were going to be:

CPU: E8600
MOBO: P5E3-Deluxe-WIFI
GPU: 4850 X2 in Crossfire
RAM: GB G skill DDR3 or OCZ Reaper DDR3 1333
Case: Coolmaster Centurian 690
Same cooler.
Power supply: Antec Quattro 1000w
hard drives: Seagate Baracuda 500Gb 32MB 7200 RPM x 2
Monitor: Viewsonic 22" 2mps X 2

However 2 things have since changed my mind.
1. This MOBO has 2 X PCI x 16 slots but when run in crossfire mode they drop to x 8 (dunno why but it is there in the specs.)
2. There will be a quantum shift in PC architecture end of this year early next year on a scale similar to the change from single core to multi core CPU's.
As Flt sim is the only game I play on the PC then I might lower the specs, sell it off later, or give it to my partner and then go for broke next year. PS3 can be the non flt sim gaming machine.
I'll probably clock the Q6600 and run a 8800GTX card in it.

Nick have you overclocked yet. Just wondering if you noticed a big change.
Cheers
Steve

Haven't yet..must get around to it but been a bit busy lately...will probably do it after exams now.

Meanwhile my 3 year warranty is getting closer to expiring.

FWIW I plonked FSX onto this machine but didn't get overly excited by the experience.
Perhaps next year, aye?

Nice PC. I've to think about upgrading my computer soon.
