I was hoping by some miracle he'd still turn up alive, but at least that brings closure for his family and friends...

Yeah, at least the family will have an answer...

Bad news for the conspiracy theorists though, they'll probably have to fall back on 9/11 and Area 52 again. rolleyes.gif

i heard this this morning on my way to work, at least they have found him, and will put most speculation to rest. R.I.P.
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will be able to string something together ................... let's see

Firstly Fosset's plane must have been shot down by a top secret military aircraft operating in the area. I mean look at the wreckage - crashed planes never look like that.
The US government deliberately ensured that the searchers looked everywhere except where Fosset's plane was, I mean why did they not find it otherwise.
Aliens abducted his body.
The evidence the tramper found was falsified.
Any skeletal remains have been planted.
Steve now survives somewhere with Elvis

Seriously though, although its hard to believe that people with such experience can simply disappear in a crash such as this, it shows that it can happen to anybody. At least his family has closure. RIP Steve Fosset.
