Some shots of the Stampe (Belguims equivalent to the Tiger Moth), Jungmann (Germany's answer to the Tiger Moth) and the Tiger Moth itself. All pictured in British regos - now I know this is pictured in NZ but the Tiger Club members from the UK often ship some of their aircraft here in the summer months and I have seen a Britsh Tiger Club Jungmann here along with the usual Tiger Moths and other Moths such as Leopard Moths.

While they may look similar they handle quite different (and this is echoed in the sim models). The Jungmann handles like a hyperactive sports car (the Pitts Special of the 30s perhaps), the Stampe like a decent handling saloon car and the Tiger Moth like a van - if the Jungmann and the Stampe were built in Britain I am sure they would of been more popular than the Tiger Moth......

I was trying to get a decent formation shot of all three but it didnt really work out...

Thanks for that Paul, that'll be my next project.

If I put the fan on I can simulate the wind in my hair and the singing of the wires......why would anyone want to sim in Airliners,

There IS a Jungmann in NZ! The owner just needs to find time from his commercial flying to rebuild it!

When was there a Jungmann flying here? I don't recall seeing any pics or reading anything about it....? Paul?

BTW great shots! Biplanes are such fun in FS! Is that the JF Tiger?

Great love to see a Jungmann in NZ again!

Have some pics of the one I saw at Tauranga but unfortunately it is not digital and I dont have a scanner but found this pic which is almost the same as one of my pics. It was Sportavex 2004 - was here on Tiger Club visit I think
