November Screenshot Competition

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Postby Alex » Fri Oct 31, 2008 8:51 pm

This month HiFi Simulation Software are sponsoring our screenshot competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot this month will receive any one HiFi Sim payware product (excl. packages containing more than one product) free of charge! These products can be viewed at www.hifisim.com... Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

This is the 30th monthly screenshot competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

3) Also remember, try and make your shot suitable for a thin rectangular banner. Think about that when positioning your aircraft and choosing camera angles etc. (and please don't include any text on the image either)

4) Images can be submitted from November 1st 2008 to November 30th 2008, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission before the closing date if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by using the edit button at the bottom of your post. Please don't post saying you have edited your original entry, as this creates unnecessary clutter).

5) On November 30th, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the HiFi Simulations prize!

6) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

7) This month's theme is 'Weather Bomb', load up some nasty weather in your sim and snap away!

All the best to everyone, lets see lots of entries guys! May the best screenshot win!

Hahaha, I'm open for suggestions for next month's theme (I think Andrew is coming back in early(?) December, so it may be the last one I organise)... wink.gif

just thought id share this in here, has anyone else been able to make a beech 1900d hover? because i managed it, impossible you say, oh no! i was playing around with the weather settings and figured i see what it would be like in 200 kt winds gusting to 220, and with full power going into the wind, you pretty much hover! in fact if you do nothing, including leaving the engines at idiol it takes off, because effectively you are at 200 kts straight away, i was having a great laugh as i hovered over Tauranga Airport at 200kts while watching a beech 1900 and two cessna's, cartwheeling across the airport. I can post pics but it just looks like ive taken a normal photo (accept for the cartwheeling cessna of course) , try it out, good for a bit of a laugh!
