Flying Day/get together at Omaka.

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Today we had a Marlborough Warbirds/Friends of the AHC get together.
Members were invited to spend a relaxing morning, flying or adrimring some nice aircraft.

It was a good chance for everyone to get together and finish the year off on a high note.
15 aircraft were on display and many flew as can be seen here.
A breakfast BBQ was the order of the day, put on by AHC staff and was greatly appreciated.
For those of you who received the Classic Fighters 2009 update you would have seen that a Fokker D.VIII and Nieuport 11 are in a container on there way here for various owners.
They are advanced projects that should not take much work to activate so Omaka is a great place with more aircraft arriving, such as the Sopwith Pup so its great to see .

That Fleet looks great - love to see it in action - any plans for it to appear at Wings over Wairarapa?
