Brisbane Airport Spotting 1-12-2008

A separate section for photographers to upload and comment on everything from amateur plane spotting images to professional air to air shots.

I went for a quick spotting session out at the airport today, to test out my new camera. Ive had it for quite a while, but due to the bad weather, sport and what not I hadnt had a proper chance to test it out.

For those interested, my new camera/lens is- Canon EOS 40D with a 17-85mm IS lens and a 70-200mm f/4 L lens.

Anyway, here are the shots..

Shot through a window at the domestic terminal..

Enjoy Guys,

Cheers Ben.

Nice shots Ben, I'd be interested to hear how the Canon compares to your Nikon. smile.gif

Its really hard to compare Alex, seeing as though im not comparing a Nikon D60 with say a 400D or a 450D, but If I had to say, the 40D kills the Nikon laugh.gif

My main reason for switching to Canon was the range of Canon lenses and quality. Its just amazing, neither Nikon or any other camera brand has the same range and quality (L series in particular)

Choice shots!

Is Dash-8 -TQX a -100 or -200?

Much sharper shots with that 70-200 L!

I got to use a 400D with a Tamron 18-250mm last weekend. Much more fun that a point and shoot.

I quite like 2nd from bottom.
Good colour and sharpness.

You gonna upload any of these pictures to Jetphotos?

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

At this stage, nobody flies to Australia from NZ with Embraers.

Cheers Guys! Yeah, DSLR is much more fun than a point and shoot. You should try using a camera that takes 6.5 Shots every second drool.gif

I probably will upload some of these to jetphotos, but they need alot more work. The ones posted here have only been briefly edited.
