What are your interests outside of flight simulator?

Here's mine ---> Ballroom dancing, along the lines of daning with the stars laugh.gif . Photography when time a permits, mainly aviation related stuff. Cooking.

Watching car racing (Usually at the Friday night drags in Auckland), having a few brewsky's with the boys and playing BF1942 on LAN at my mates house seem to fill up the majority of my time not spent on NZFF or flight-simming these days cool.gif

At the moment (Summer holidays have just started) either working at the airport, driving with mates throwing (harmless) projectiles out of vehicle windows or drinking. None of them together though biggrin.gif

Oh, and nobody can forget sleeping.

Motorsport !

For Pukekohe (or Hamilton) I'll either be one of the senior safety people in the pits or waving flags from the start/finish line, on gravel rallies I'll either be Service Park management or in charge of a timing crew starting stages, at speedway odds are I'll be on the infield with a camera, for Targa I'll be lurking somewhere unexpected with a speed gun (there's talk of a breathalyser next time mwahahahaha) ...........

smiliz2.png Hunting/Shooting. Pretty much anything on the noxious pest list. Rabbits, Hares, Goats, Wallabies, Deer, Magpies. Happiness is a warm gun. Just this morning I dropped a big goat with my .243 at 320yds, neck shot. Been watching him for a week and had to get up at 4:30AM to catch him at dawn. I've got not a bad arsenal .243, .17 HMR, Shotgun and by the end of the week hopefully a 5.56 semi.

hmm well: Real world flying (although I havent been doing as much as I should), Motor-racing/Track days in my car, Running, hanging out with mates and playing the drums.....

Oh and whipping out my camera to take pictures of Buildings/rooves/trees/Cars etc for Flight Sim textures smile.gif

But in reality most of my spare time is spent on the computer as well! (Flight sim modelling mostly)

From Wikipedia :

In an April 2008 interview, Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that 150 people had worked on Gran Turismo 5 for four years, with all of Polyphony Digital's 120 employees working on GT5, and the game costing 50 times more to develop than the original Gran Turismo.[1] He also confessed that GT5 might not be released until after 2009.[1] In a July 2008 interview with IGN, Yamauchi mentioned that at the moment, Polyphony Digital is focused on updates for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and that Gran Turismo 5 may not be released until 2010.

I guess I should hook the ps3 up to the network and check for updates to GT5P then !

another GT fan here too! Favourite track: Nurburgring in the standard NSX-X or M5 (traction control off, of course)

I still love putting economy tyres on my 330i or Blitz R34 and having a wee drift around Midfield Raceway on GT4! biggrin.gif

No suprises there are few GT fans about, another Sim just a different dimension aye.
I love it too, you can't got far wrong with "the Ring" in pretty much anything, but I'm usually seen in a tricked out Beamer or Merc.

I have 3 boys 9,6 and 3 so i'm kept pretty busy. Playing the guitar, going to the beach to surf with my wife who loves it.

I have a real interest in war history so i like to chill out and read endless books on anything from medieval to present but am particularly interested in World War 2. At the moment i'm reading a great book called 'Bloody Shambles' which is all about the defence of Sumatra and the fall of Burma. Word for word accounts from our boys about their battles in the Buffalos, Hurricanes and Blenheim's.

Since i am a Bar Tutor (hence the name kiwibarguy) i also dabble in a bit of flairing (bottle spinning). biggrin.gif and because i teach wine also, i appreciate sampling and matching quite a few wines with the lovely dishes my chef mates cook up.
