Um.. Video Camera?

It is a Sony DCR-PC100... a high-end consumer unit when he got it in 2001, but not a professional job... just a decent miniDV based unit. I give a lot of the credit of the quality to:
- The fact that he has been reading some tips on filming ie. putting focus on manual and setting it to 'infinity' so it is not constantly re-focussing, rule of 1/3's, use of zoom (or lack thereof) etc.
- The smooth conditions

Actually, there was not really a lot of flare... it was a fairly flat landing. Almost a 3-pointer!I think the camera angle is a bit deceptive.

Ahhh yes... that was Paul finally discovering that if you use gentle pressure on the rocker switch, that it zooms in and out nice and slow... as opposed to the "star wars lightspeed" effects we had in the raw footage from the night flight video! ahahahahaah
Also, I think the fact that the raw file I uploaded to YouTube was an 85meg 720x576 wmv file probably helps the conversion and resulting quality... I see it also has a 'watch in high quality' link...
I tried it out, but YouTube seems be very slow at the moment... so I gave up after around 1/2 hour
if anyone wants a copy of the the original (85megs worth), I can upload it to Rapidshare...Last edited by HardCorePawn on Fri Dec 05, 2008 8:11 am, edited 1 time in total."Son, we are about the break the surly bonds of gravity, and punch the face of God." -- Homer Simpson

Yeah but that won't help as I've just discovered that I can't get out to YouTube at work' Have you ever notice that the experts who decree that the age of the pilot is over are people who have never flown anything? In spite of the intensity of their feelings that the pilot's day is over I know of no expert who has volunteered to be a passenger in a non-piloted aircraft..'
