Do they specifically cover while GA Flying? Most insurance companies do not... and I cannot see anything on their site about it..."Son, we are about the break the surly bonds of gravity, and punch the face of God." -- Homer Simpson

To be honest i'm not 100% sure, i'll have to dig out my policy however I do know my premium is slightly higher due to the fact I do a bit of GA flying.

I spoke to BNZ insurance a couple of days ago about having the 'aviation' exclusion lifted on my life cover. They're sending me a GA questionnaire in the post. I'll let you know the outcome if anyone's interested.
UPDATE: I filled in the GA form that was sent to me and returned it at the end of October. Spoke to BNZ Insurance today as I hadn't heard anything. I was told that the Aviation Exclusion that had previously been in place on my policy had been removed at no cost and I was now covered for Life, Critical & Accident in General Aviation. Bonus!' Have you ever notice that the experts who decree that the age of the pilot is over are people who have never flown anything? In spite of the intensity of their feelings that the pilot's day is over I know of no expert who has volunteered to be a passenger in a non-piloted aircraft..'

I guess you'd never find out

Guess not. Incidentally, I still haven't heard from him...........
At least I'm covered by BNZ now though.' Have you ever notice that the experts who decree that the age of the pilot is over are people who have never flown anything? Us too. Well you should be ok then as it's the 'mortgage' life insurance policy I'm covered by. If I remember correctly I stated that I'd be doing approx 75 - 100 hrs max per year, non commercial obviously etc etc' Have you ever notice that the experts who decree that the age of the pilot is over are people who have never flown anything?
