Works fine for me, FS9 would run bloody awesome with that, You could even run FSX on mid high end settings.

You'd need a better graphics card. You could maybe run it with that but it would look like cr@p. I'd prefer to have FS9 looking good than FSX looking pretty average on my comp.

Agree with VAC here the graphics is only onboard (built in to the motherboard), also if you go Here you will see there is a special on the processor, HDrive and Mem you could infact probably build it cheaper yourself.

Guys just remember FS9 and FSX both use CPU imput more than graphics imput. You could get a 8600GT or something real cheap mate and that would run FS9 or FSX nicely.

Good luck

BTW that last one is quite old, CPU is old. Depends on your budget?

Doesn't a better CPU mean better FPS, while a better graphics card improves how the game actually looks (picture quality I guess)?

The main issue with your choice there I think is that is has a graphics chip integrated into the motherboard, as opposed to a standalone Graphics Card. The 'Integrated Graphics' will mean that your performance (at least with regards to aesthetics) will suffer; although I think that njbb1995 is exaggerating when he says you'll have problems trying to run notepad.

I used to run FS9 on my old laptop with a 64Mb Integrated Graphics chip - it ran, but the frame rate was quite low (although that might also be attributed to other hardware constraints on that laptop), and there was no anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering or anything along those lines - so compared to the way my sim runs now, it was pretty basic. winkyy.gif

At the moment my PC has...

Intel P4 3.4GHz HT
I think the stock 450W PSU (I haven't tried looking for a brand...)
2.5Gb RAM
nVidia 7950GT (512Mb video memory, 1.4Ghz memory clock speed, 550MHz core clock speed)
Just a stock 160Gb HD, really on the small side...

It was around $2500 new, but that must have been about 4 years ago, and since then I've added in two more Gb of RAM and upgraded the video card...

Fair enough. I'm just getting so frustrated with not being able to enjoy FS9. Can somebody please find me a computer on trademe for under $700 without a monitor that will run FS9 very well with high FPS.

This one here looks alright for $600.

There are a few other alright ones on there - but most of them seem to only have 30-day trial versions of the Operating System.

Id have to agree with alex on that trade me puter ,all it looks like it needs just alitte more ram and done ,,id say that would run X alright too,,
exsample i have old p4 3.0ghz /8600gts 256mb/3 gig ram and it runs X sweet no problems ...anything higher than my settings would be alright for 9 even with a 7600gt card in it
