Hi - Has anyone tried this yet? I admit I'm tempted but also very happy with ASv6. Should I be shelling out for this upgrade - anyone have any experience with it or comments - would be grateful for the input.

I have ASX and the one thing that ruined it for me are the hard haze layer that appears when at certain transition levels. It is supposed to be fixed in ASA with a texture file but the thought of spending another $50 just to have the file is a bit off putting. I'm sure there are other improvements over ASX that would justify the price but you'll think that they could at least provide the haze fix for ASX users. Other than that it works in a similar fashion as ASv6 although a bit more complex under it's hood as to how it renders the weather.. I also have ASv6 and I'm very happy with that product.

Thanks for that - not being an avid FSX user, although I have it, I have'nt invested in many addons for it. I think I'll stick with what I'm happy with - at least until there is a bit more knowledge and perhaps a patch or two out. I appreciate the comments and agree with you in relation to the Haze layer fix in ASX - it would be only fair to provide a patch.
