Just goes to show that Google doesn't know everything:)
I have seen it referred to as Reeve Waiheke -- I suspect that Reeve is a Waiheke family name, and maybe they own(ed) the land there.
I seem to recall that the airfield, which used to be operated by Waiheke Airservices, had their license taken off them a few years ago.
