Amazing what you get in the cereal box these days

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

While shopping, my son spotted a Nestle cereal promoting 4 CD flying games.
The first cd is pylon racing.

Second one is flying a jet throw the Grand Canyon.

Third is flying a helicopter around skyscrapers dropping off cargo

Fourth is sky writing with a Cessna.

Here are some screen shots of CD1

The games are inspired by Microsoft FSX although I have never played fsx the framae rates seem much better

I even offered to take the kids grocery shopping today just si I'd have an excuse to lurk in the cereal aisle. New World here in Palmy had 1,2 and 3 on the shelf.

I of course chose #3 which is the helicopter mission.

HI

I certainly didn't mean to infer that FSX is crud, anything but biggrin.gif . My current PC , ASUS dual core P4 1 gig ram asus pci-e 7600 gs silent 512ram runs FS9 with all sliders maxed out very well with frames locked at 25. I am more than impressed with what I have seen visually with FSX but doubt my current system would allow get the performance I do at the present with fs9

Bandit if you get a chance can you post some screenis of the helicopter mission been a rotor fan myself

As requested here's some pics of the Helo mission.

What you have to do is locate the crates pick them up and then relocate them to a specific location. All within a time limit. You are also able to change the camera viewpoint. A bit addictive and some mindless fun. I think I might have to eat quite a bit of cereal soon to get the others.
Not the best screenies but you get the idea.
