I need to do a spot of video editing and I did stumble across and editor last year that was GIMP video editor but it had a new name and I can't remember what it was. Does anybody know?
Or does anyone know of any freeware very good video editors?

For free your best bet is Windows Movie Maker - part of Windows.

Details

Other payware programs such as U Lead, Sony Vegas and Adobe Premier will give more effects and multi track capability but in all the Windows product isn't bad to create some good videos.

I found this free one but I haven't tried it yet but it looks like it could be what you are looking for.

That looks pretty good and you can't beat the price!! It seems similar to the ULead video software I sometimes use. Give it a go Kelburn!
