No, this is not from Microsoft... this DCS Kamov Black Shark... I know the landscape around Sochi in "Original" and it looks like this. About the Ka 50 i must say, it is not easy to fly. Sometimes I remember about Falcon 4... These screens are from the english Version of that simulation. It is in the "medium-komplexity-modus" for the graphics. A good computer is useful...

Yes, this DCS Ka 50 Black Shark. Combat scenes will follow, after I can fly this Helo with all of it´s systems. There is some work to do, because the complexity of this simulation is high.
I was guessing you'd be very busy , in that enviroment , she looks like a high target no.1 , gameplay ? guess that will take you into another world Hmmm looks like the Cold War thread needs an extra , nah , a new combat thread , Rebels in ... ?

I think "Black Shark" is without question the reference in flying a helicopter under combat situations. It´s not like other Games... it is a "real" simulation. And as we meanwhile know, the sceneario is not fiction. Georgia vs. Russia and the NATO may be envolved. The landscape around Sochi and the border between Georgia and Russia, Ossetia... it is topographical very accurate to... And it is a typical view about the situation in this region from the russian standpoint. The mission briefings and some other things tell you the story from russian sources... and this is somewhat different from, what we hear from CNN ...
No, it is not only "just another flying game" ... it is more.
Well, I am aware of the Alphasim Ka 50 Hokum. It is a fine one and very flyable in the Limits of Microsoft Flight Simulator... but it is inferior in the Aerodynamics. Flying the Ka 50 in DCS "Black Shark" is another thing. She is more agile but also more nervous and not easy to fly. There is no need to "pull up the stick hard" but for sensitive control in every aspect of flight.
