Typhoon Vs. Tomcat

Horsing around lately using FSRecorder to help me set up dogfights (yes, I know it isn't very realistic, but nobody online on the FS servers wants to dogfight so I make due with what I can), I set this one up today. It's a "what if" scenario - an RAF Typhoon out of Oman engaging an F-14A Tomcat of the Iranian Air Force.

Tiffie starts out his patrol:

Meanwhile, southwest of Bandar Lengeh, the Iranian Tomcat is on patrol as well:

Ground radar directs both fighters onto a mutual intercept course, and the fight is set as both turn into the engagement:

At the merge, the Typhoon goes into a steep climb to reverse, and the slightly slower turning Tomcat winds up behind him.......

The Tiffie driver quickly realizes the situation and makes a hard rolling pitch out to force the Iranian out in front before he can fire a shot -

The Iranian pitches away, trying to gain some separation to restart the fight -

However, the Tiffie will have none of it, and is quickly on his tail -

The Iranian fights for his life, trying desperately to shake the Grim Reaper off his tail -

The Tomcat pitches hard up, then rolls back down to stave off the inevitable -

Sadly, the move only bleeds off his airspeed (and options) as the Typhoon pounces down to deliver the coup-de-grace -

The Tiffie pulls out hard and heads back to base for a hard earned beer smile.gif

Love the Eurofighter - saw a great photo of a group of them in flight on A.net with the caption 'Grey Arrows'.

What FS model Typhoon is that then? Please post a link if you can.

The Typhoon is Alphasim's -

The F-14 is the Iris model (the older FS2004 version, not the new FSX one).
