Quick clip from Wednesday evening, 2500 above the Mercer in the Garmin 1000 c172. Good fun it was:

And a few pics:

Well into the yellow arc in the second to last pic tongue.gif

Looks cool though, the G1000 setup looks better than the avidyne equivalent

That Max Rate Turn in the Vid takes me back to the days when we used to do fish spotting had many max rate turns over shoals of fish.
Just for interest we used to work West Coast from Westport North to the Maui Platforms through Cook Strait and from Carstlepoint down to Kaikoura on the East Coast and with the odd trip going about 40 to 50 miles out from Karamea to the Tuna grounds.
Those were the good old days. plane.gif

Most was done in a Piper PA-28-151 others used were PA-28-181 Piper PA-38-112 and the odd occasion in a Piper PA-18A-150.

Yeah, definitly not the cheapest trainer out of Ardmore- I have done my research, however, this is the only one a student loan from NMIT will cover winkyy.gif
