Depends which aircraft and for what reasons. I prefer the 737 to the A320 but then I prefer the A330 to the 767. This is going on looks alone.

id say looks the 737 but on everything els the Airbus mainly because its german made and anythink german made is good quality

Its French and Spanish too (and a British wing)!..and if it has the quality of my last car which is French...well I have no further comment!

I think I will have a Jpanese airliner for quality judging by my experince with vehicles ...Mitsubishi MRJ anyone?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_MRJ...although as you say nothing wrong with German quality but Airbus is just as much French

Many, many times njbb1995.

Personally, I prefer the Boeing Yoke style controls over the Airbus ones. So any Pre Late Airbus A310 Aircraft and most others I like

Travel wise, the A380 rocks. Its so darn quiet and comfortable, definitely rate it over the 744.

Favourite Aircraft to look at, anything Boeing, particularly 777

Boeing. 747 was amazing and the 737 has also been a great aircraft. The 777-300ER is the best wide bodied airliner on the market right now imho.

I am always take these polls with a (rather large) pinch of salt. Each manufacturer has different features on their aircraft that may suit the needs of different operators better than their competitors aircraft.

Blindly choosing to dislike an aircraft purely based on it's manufacturer reeks of closed-mindedness to me, which is very rarely helpful.

Kudos to Tom though, for picking up on the aviation fact.

My favourite aircraft is the 767-300.

I voted for Boeing - seem to be safer due to a few recent events.

I voted for Boeing mainly for the durability of their planes, lower maintenance costs and higher performances rates to Airbus.

However depending on what destinations an airliner flies to Airbus could be a better choice ( Based on IATA rates and regulations of maintenance pricings and other elements ).

Airbus has lost a bit of reputation after few constant Airbus incidents and fatalities cause by it. Personally I much rather prefer to be in a 737 than A320 since I know how they work and what can go wrong with A320.

it is going to be intresting with the new dreamliner, 10 years down the track, as boeing are introducing all the features that airbus have been using for some time, and too see how well the fuselage stands up to hard usage. now in light of recent accident i wonder if a boeing aircraft would have had the same result. and then if you look back on history alot more boeing aircraft have fallen out of the sky, even the good old 737 had issues there for a while. like every crash, the company that built it is alway going to get bad press, still doesn't stop the airlines ordering them though, and the manufactures always come up with soloutions, lets hope we never have a dc-10 like problem ever again.

i went for boeing, i love the 757 and 767, great aircraft that fill a multitude of roles!!

The Airbus fleet needs to be grounded for the time being IMO. Will never happen due to the amount of money those airlines operating Airbus would lose though.

If ANZ decides to go with Airbus, I will be flying Qantas or Pacific Blue in NZ.

Thats because there are quite a few more Boeing in the world fleet than Airbuses ..and Boeings jet airliners have been around since 1950s - Airbuses have only been around since the 70s...and then they didnt really take off until the 1980s..

I'm really not into all this sort of thing where everyone thinks european engineering is the best...(not that european engineering is bad but it seems a bit over done)

I know it i was a big guy with a airline it'd be a all Boeing fleet.
