BOEING! you nodiced how 'badly' airbus has been going..
their best plane is the 380, still no match for boeing

Wait and see how the 380 compares if it ever stays around as long as the 747 has been flying

  • Prove that their "best" plane is the A380
  • Prove that the A380 is "no match" for a Boeing?

I can imagine somebody high up in Airbus reading that and thinking "What would you know?"..

From a passenger standpoint, I daresay the A380 takes the cake for comfort and quietness. Or so I've been told.

+1 especially in last few years when A&B have equal number of orders, im just curious, why all stupid management of different airlines is ordering Airbus aircrafts, if they are "unsafe" "no match to Boeing" etc.

Yeah I'm sure irrelevant of what the brainiacs on this forum think tongue.gif that Airbuses and Boeings are about as good as each other. One may be better on one aspect, while the other is better on another. I can look back at the Airliner World Magazines at the monthly delivery charts of Airbus and Boeing and they are generally within 10% of each other with no clear leader.

Airbuses have only been around since the 70s...and then they didnt really take off until the 1980s..

That would explain their great safety record for the first 10 years laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

A take from across the pond here. Ive had the pleasure of two flights on the A380 and too many to count on the 747. Also ATC when the USCG assign me to Homeland security at airports control towers. Personally both have there comforts but the A380 is a traffic nightmare due to the wake it creates. You ought to LAX grind there teeth everytime a A380 lands. KGRB Green Bay this later summer is a backup landing site for a A380 and its been peer heck for me learning the A380 systems in case of emergencies and a remote is activated were i have land the puppy from the tower, not a easy task considering the EAA at Oshkosh has the worlds largest airshow going on at the same time. What airbus needs to due is solve the wake issue on landing and take off. This would be and lead to much better ATC and clearances instead of delaying or deverting scheduled flights. So in close the A380 hinders ATC and scheduled flights here in N.America. One thing Airbus and airlines could do here is schedule A380's at Salt Lake, Grave yard hours at LAX, and keep that beast away from Chicago and use KMSP. Till some changes are made in the A380 systems im sticken to Boeings.

Probably correct, although to be fair it's also the newest all-new design on the market at the moment; I'd imagine the 787 will compare favorably in both those respects when it enters service.

But don't forget, that 787 will have same sort of "kids illness" problems, like 380, because its new type.
